Journey Among Men Jock Marshall , Russell Drysdale

This is a story of a journey among men–"characters" such as Harmonious Harry, Brandy John, The Tropical Frog, and Rob Moody who keeps the pub at Hall's Creek out near the Territory Border. And behind them stand a group from the past–the outlaws Sandemara or "Pigeon", Captain, Demon and Long Franky, whose exploits still make conversation around the campfires of the Australian north-west.

We heard about these as we travelled up the north-western coast collecting zoological specimens. Soon we found ourselves as much interested in people as in animals.
